Natural History Museum of Denmark and Department of Geography and Geology University of Copenhagen. PhD fellowship - 3 years. The Natural History Museum of Denmark and the Department of Geography and Geology are seeking a highly motivated candidate to undertake the following research project:
Palaeoenvironment and the evolution of sharks at the Cretaceous/Tertiary boundary in South Sjælland, Denmark. Supervisors will be Associate Professor Gilles Cuny (Natural History Museum of Denmark) and Professor Lars Stemmerik (Department of Geography and Geology).Candidates should hold a MSc degree in geoscience. Previous experience in vertebrate palaeontology and basic knowledge in geochemistry are strongly recommended, as well as fluency in Danish and English. The applicant should also be prepared to undertake fieldwork. The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations within the range of 23,000-30,000 DKK/month.
