Nos ha llegado información para investigadores con cierta trayectoria para la Universidad de Stanford. Para los que quieran o necesiten cambiar de aires.
As part of an initiative in Geobiology, the School of Earth Sciences at Stanford University anticipates making three tenure-line faculty appointments over the next three years. The objective of this initiative is to advance fundamental understanding of the co-evolution of Earth and life, with particular focus on addressing the challenges that arise from the enormous range of temporal and spatial scales involved.
To begin this process, we invite applications for the first of three tenure-line faculty appointments of open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) from persons with demonstrated research records addressing fundamental questions at the intersection of the biological and geological sciences who are also committed to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching. We particularly seek applicants in the areas of historical geobiology and geomicrobiology. These areas include, but are not limited to, the study of the coupled histories of Earth and life using data from paleontology, geochemistry, and sedimentary geology; the role of microorganisms in shaping the geochemistry of the Earth’s crust over modern to geological time scales; geochemical controls on microbial activity, diversity, and evolution; biogenic mineral formation/dissolution; and life in extreme environments.
Applications, including a cover letter, curriculum vita, a statement outlining research and teaching interests that would materially contribute to related programs in the School of Earth Sciences, three representative papers published within the last 5 years and the names and email addresses of three referees, should be included with your submission. Please apply at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/887.
Review of applications will commence November 15, 2011. The position will remain open until filled.Questions can be directed to Sue Crutcher (crutcher@stanford.edu)
