Paleontólogos para el Natural History de Londres

Quién decía que la Paleontología estaba en crisis. Ahí van dos nuevas plazas de paleontólogos en el Natural History de Londres. Os adjuntamos el mensaje original que nos ha llegado de Paleonet.

Curator: £22,000 to £25,000 + Benefits. Initially responsible for the fossil echinoderm and bryozoan collections, your remit will extend department-wide in curation, conservation, databasing, and information-access projects. A BSc degree in earth science, biological science or museum studies is required along with a broad knowledge of palaeontology and a proven curatorial track record. Above all, you must have experience with invertebrate taxonomy/stratigraphy and standard collections-management procedures. Experience making public presentations and technical writing are both desirable.

Conservator/Preparator. £22,000 to £25,000 + Benefits. Operating across the department (and beyond), you will be expected to materially assist research and curation projects and deliver expert advice specimen conservation topics. A degree or qualification in conservation and/or the natural sciences is required, backed by appropriate collections experience within a museum setting. IT literacy and demonstrable experience
with laboratory management are also essential. Finally, a current driving license would be a major asset as you could find yourself traveling regularly.
