Puesto de trabajo para paleobotánicos

La Universidad de Münster en Alemania ha ofertado un puesto de trabajo de profesor asistente en Paleobotánica y Palinología. Os adjuntamos la información que nos ha llegado:

The Palaeobotany Research Group of Institute of Geology and Palaeontology of the University Münster, Department of Geosciences, invites applications for a post-doctoral position in palaeobotany and palynology. The appointment will be for three years, after a positive evaluation the appointment can be extended for another three years. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching and a record of promising research. The teaching load is four hours per week each semester (4 SWS) and will be half in palaeobotany and/or palynology and half in general/introductory BSc and MSc geosciences courses. Research should focus on palaeobotany and palynology of the Palaeozoic and early Mesozoic. The ideal candidate will be an excellent teacher and researcher able to work both independently and as an enthusiastic participant of our group.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in geology or geosciences and at least one year of post-doctoral experience. Fluency in English is required; non-German-speaking candidates should be willing to learn to communicate in German within reasonable time. Applications of women are specially invited. In the case of similar qualification, competence and specific achievements, women will be considered on preferential terms within the framework of the legal possibilities. Handicapped candidates with equivalent qualifications will be given preference.
