The 61st Symposium of Vertebrate Palaeontology and Comparative Anatomy (SVPCA) and 22nd Symposium of Palaeontological Preparation and Conservation (SPPC) will be held between the 27th and 30th August, 2013 at National Museums Scotland in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. The SVPCA meeting traditionally includes a wide variety of platform and poster presentations, and submissions are invited from researchers working on any aspect of vertebrate evolution and systematics, functional morphology and taphonomy. For the SPPC meeting, presentations are invited on any aspect of techniques in vertebrate fossil preparation, conservation and excavation. The meeting will be followed by a field excursion to famous Palaeozoic vertebrate-bearing sites in the beautiful Scottish countryside. El Simposio 61 de Paleontología de Vertebrados y Anatomía Comparada (SVPCA) y el 22 Simposio de Preparación Paleontológica y Conservación (SPPC) se celebrará entre los días 27 y 30 de agosto de 2013 en el Museo Nacional de Escocia en Edimburgo, Reino Unido. La reunión SVPCA tradicionalmente incluye una amplia variedad de presentaciones orales y de pósters, por ello invitamos a los investigadores que trabajan en cualquier aspecto de evolución de vertebrados y sistemática, morfología funcional y tafonomía a preparar sus trabajos. Para la reunión SPPC, las presentaciones cubrirán todos los aspectos de las técnicas de preparación de fósiles de vertebrados tanto en conservación como en preparación. La reunión será seguida por una visita de campo a una famosa localidad de vertebrados del Paleozoico en el bello paraje escocés.
